Where to stay on long commutes

Hi, hindi ko sure if this is the right sub-forum, pero gusto ko po sana malaman kung may mga alam kayong places to stay or pitch ng tent (if in provinces), on long bicycle commutes (200km or more). Yung mga places na pwede kang magpalipas lang ng gabi (besides bus terminals, gas stations, waiting sheds) at safe, before continuing your ride.

Partikular po ako around Cabanatuan (Pantabangan going to Aurora). Maraming salamat.

You can stay in the barangay halls. Mag courtesy call ka sa Bgy Chairman tapos magpaalam ka doon ka maglalatag sa barangay hall. Safe ka kaso madidistorbo tulog mo kung may kaguluhan.

if you plan to stay overnight in a place, ang suggestion ko is to find a policeman, if not a police station and ask around if they can point you to an inn where you can stay overnight, based on my experience may mga comfortable inns naman that offer overnight stays for 200-300/night may comfortable beds, electric fan at CR's.at least you are rested well and cleaned-up prior to your next day's journey.

salamat sa suggestion sir, yan din po sana ang isa sa mga best options, kaso wala po kami masyado idea kung saan may mga sub-300 pesos na inns or baka po may ma-recommend kayo sir? saan pong place yung nasa photo?

Sana may list tayo ng recommended and cheap (sub300 pesos) places to stay for those who do multi-day rides (touring?) or better if camping sites kung saan legal magpitch ng tents.

then again...would you want to carry all that weight when touring? not to mention pitching the tent and breaking camp every day.

Pantabangan (Cabanatuan) sir. If walang pwedeng paglatagan ng tent, then Cabanatuan city to find a cheap and safe place to rest.

In terms of gear, very minimal lang, mostly clothes, no cooking wares or anything. yung tent, para makatipid lang sa resting place at yun na rin siguro ang pinaka-malaki, but then single person lang ang size nung tent so very minimal pa rin.

suggestion lang, from a fellow outdoorsman. kung solo ka, bivy sack na lang kesa tent. 2kg din kasi ang tent, unless you get the ultra light ones.

alanganin kasi kung side of the road ka mag pitch ng tent. pero kung bivy sack or sleeping bag, kahit sa simbahan, police station or kung may mabait na magpatuloy sa 'yo sa bahay nila (yes it happened somewhere north) lesser ang attention factor then tent. bulky pero a whole lot lighter.

great suggestion sir, nasa research phase pa lang kami so malaking tulong yung mga tips, tsaka wala pa rin masyado alam sa mga outdoor gear, like 'yang bivy sack, so we'll be rethinking our options.
