Default Steepest streets in Metro Manila

For the urban warrior who'd rather bike within the metro's urban jungle what are the steepest and longest street climbs you've ever encountered in or near your neighborhood?

I got OC on Google Earth and measured the steepest climbs (length not grade) I ever encountered in the Metro (Antipolo and San Mateo not included in this topic):

Street Length in meters

San Juan
Araullo (L. Mencias to Pilar) 309.20
P.Zamora (Araullo to Ortega) 220.80
P.Burgos (Araullo to Ortega) 229.01
Parada (F.Manalo to P. Guevarra) 533.02
Valenzuela (Blumentritt to Pinaglabanan) 393.34

Mandaluyong
Pinatubo St. (Simeon Cruz to Lions) 136.71
S. Laurel (Cherry) 238.65
Barangka (San Rafael to Arayat) 304.70
Samat (9dePebrero to Shaw Blvd) 694.98
Cybergate Street (to Pioneer) 180.56
Sheridan (Buayang Bato to Pioneer) 278.40

Pasig
W. Capitol Dr (E.Capitol to United) 790.47
E.Capitol Dr (W.Capitol to United) 958.12
Canley Rd (C5 to Shaw Blvd) 767.96
St. Martin aka ULTRA (Lanuza to Henry Javier) 687.43
Julia Vargas (Tiendesitas to Meralco Ave) 1272.31

Quezon City
FVR Road to Katipunan 666.43 (tried but failed)
Batasan San Mateo Road QC side 1976 (haven't tried it)

Maybe we can use this as reference for practice before taking on the more serious climbs outside the Metro.

@Slash, he he, nakakapagod yung sa batasan kasi hindi pwede magtahi. tapos pipinahan ka pa ng sasakyan. dati kaya ko ng walang hinto, pero nung huli kong ahon inabot ako ng 4 na hinto. sabagay puyat kasi, he he.

on topic:
kasama ba ang flyovers?

nagtahan bridge + flyover

shaw from acacia lane to lourdes school via shaw flyover

wow... Urban Jungle!

for this one i'll be particular on C5.

1. ascent to Kalayaan
2. ascent going to Market - this i think is the Fastest
4. Heritage Park going to Bayani Road

I have never spinned on these routes. Tapos 1 last ahon uli sa Sales Bridge nyahaha!

Ung dating Ultra, nakakapagod din banatan un. from C5 > Pasig Blvd > Meralco Ave > Ultra tapos paikot. Huuu!...

No wonder. Without fail. Kinakatakutan ko ang long and steep `homestretch` street na ito.

Bakit `homestretch` kamo?

I live in Fairview kasi. Everytime I bike out to Maarat/Timberland/Shotgun/Giant, or to Antipolo/Teresa/Reverse Sierra/Bugarin from Fairview, hindi pa tapos ang Calvario ko!

Hilig pa naman mag-cut if they will load or unload.

Yung mga taga San Juan tawag doon "The Wall". From Blumentritt st. turn right kayo sa Shell gas station. Labas nun Pinaglabanan Shrine.

bike to work ako lagi from balintawak QC to Buting Pasig.

I was 10y.o. noong tinakas ko ang 1947 Monark Super Deluxe Silver Edition ng erpats ko (shown above I had fully restored 3 weeks ago only.)

Rota ko e. rod from Welcome Rotunda up to New York Cubao.

Nagsisi ako. Napakatarik at napakahirap pala mag-bike pataas sa e. rod patungong cubao gamit ang 40 pounder single speed all steel and chrome Monark 1947 postwar Vintage Bike!

SusMarYoSep.

Wala pang trapik jam noon (circa late 1950s) as we know it today.
