Globe Arakan XC - Davao City - Oct 20, 2012

Globe Arakan XC is a 60 kilometer cross-province fundraising bike challenge to save the home of the Philippine Eagle. The bike trail will start from Davao City to North Cotobato; a mix of road and off-road trail ending at Arakan Valley. This is the first environmental challenge of Globe targeting Mindanao bikers and communities, and encourages bikers and environmental advocates to join and raise funds to support Philippine Eagle Foundation’s (PEF) Forest Corridor Development Program. This is a timed event designed for beginners and experienced bikers to explore and raise their awareness on culture, environment and the need to protect these mountain ranges.

The Globe Arakan XC will be held on October 20, 2012, Saturday, from 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (assembly time for bikers is 5:30 a.m.). The bike ride will start at the Philippine Eagle Center, Davao City and will end at the Arakan Valley, North Cotobato.

The Globe Arakan XC is open to male and female bikers with an average level of fitness and mountain bike competence. Please see details below:
