![]() Welcome to Bootleg Canyon! Grannygear and Guitar Ted from Bootleg Canyon Hot, dusty, and dry again here at the Interbike Outdoor Demo from Boulder City The team of Grannygear and Guitar Ted are grinding out some rides and spending a lot of time in the cooler shade and chatting, because, well….did I say it was really hot? The Surly Krampus was ridden. This is Surly’s “29+” platform, (actual wheel diameter being 30.5″), and we’ll have a full impression comin soon. Operative word here is “FUN”. ![]() Origin 8 Crawler The Origin 8 Crawler is now said to be ready for a late 2012 deliver. Redesigned frame, but still with the Nuvinci Hub. Probably $12-1300.00USD retail. More on this later. ![]() Haro Fliteline Carbon More carbon hard tails? That’s right! BH Bikes, Haro, and others are still bringing more carbon hard tails to the 29″er world. ![]() 9 Zero 7 Wide Loader! See that “186mm” on the top tube? That’s how wide the rear hub spacing is on this future model from the Alaskan 9 Zero 7 brand. They said it allows for the widest rims, (100mm) to be paired with the Big Fat Larry 4.7″ tires and still clear a 2 X 10 drive train. ![]() 2013 1/2 (?) Diamond Back Mason FS We got to talk with Pro rider Eric Porter about a future Diamond Back model dubbed the Mason FS. Potentially a 2013 1/2 intro, this bike has 140mm front and rear travel through a Manitou fork here and a redesigned Knuckle Box rear suspension. This isn’t final spec, but we’ll have a bit more on this bike (and the Kenda Honey Badger tires on it), coming soon. ![]() Elsworth Evolution Grannygear rode the Ellsworth Evolution that c_g touched upon in his last Eurobike post. Look for an impression on this and other “boutique” brand, longer travel 29″ers coming soon. ![]() Davinci FS and GT: Photo by Sonya Looney Guitar Ted rode the Davinci Atlas FS 29″er with the super-short chain stays and 140mm travel fork. Look for a ride impression soon on this one. ![]() Two Wheel Drive And finally….. Two wheel drive anyone? These bikes were on display at the Outdoor Demo in a variety of specialties including road, cros, and this one, a 29″er. RSS Feed brought to you by Twenty Nine Inches
