Default Gore Bike Wear Windstopper AS

For 2012, GORE BIKE WEAR® introduced GORE-TEX® Active Shell technology, utilizing the lightest, most breathable GORE-TEX® ever produced. The Active Shell design simultaneously integrated the three components of a GORE-TEX® shell (outer layer, GORE-TEX® membrane, and mesh liner) to create a fabric that was only half as thick as previous versions, and far lighter.
Moving into the 2013 Gore Bike Wear lineup, Gore applies a similar process to its WINDSTOPPER® textiles, to create WINDSTOPPER® Active Shell, which delivers windproof, highly water resistant performance in an even lighter weight final garment configuration than is possible with the completely waterproof GORE-TEX® shells.
WINDSTOPPER® Active Shell technology is available in the following product families and garments – each WINDSTOPPER® Active Shell garment having been designed to fit GORE BIKE WEAR®’s head-to-toe and skin-to-shell complete outfit system philosophy and to integrate flawlessly in fit, function, reflectivity, ergonomics, cut and seem placement with other garments from the same outfit family.
