2013 Hope

Hope had a few new things on display at Eurobike this year including various **chainguides, derailleur pulley’s, and pedals.
Hope is well known for machining their parts in the U.K. so it wasn’t too surprising to see more CNC’d parts at the show. **The guides you see below are CNC machined and looked pretty interesting. **Full metal guides might be a**little**louder than poly-style guides without some dampening (velcro / etc). **The 1x style guide below on the post is something that lots of riders might be moving towards if they’re running a 1x drivetrain with a bash especially with the new style Shimano and SRAM derailleurs with internal clutches.

They also had somemachined derailleur pulleys on display as well that you can see above.


Hope chainguides

The seat tube mounted 1x (single front ring) style guide offers an adjustable arm and is intended to be ran with a bash ring. **Most 1x setups seem to focus on a non-bash option and the Hope option allows for you to use a conventional full bash ring with their 1x setup.

The Hope pedals are beautiful to see in person and available for 2013 is the Hope. **CNC 2014T6 , 6 colors to pick from, 10 pins per side, and a CroMo spindle. **The setup runs on 3 cartridge bearings and a bushing with a**claimed**weight of 390g.


Hope Flat Pedals

Awhile back Hope also had a micro-drive setup that is integrated into a hope freehub body (9t-36t). They were showing off in 2010 but at the 2012 Eurobike it seemed to be downplayed a little bit. **We’re unsure if it’ll see the light of day given some rumors of a patent issue. ** They did have it on one of their display bikes and it**certainly**is a piece many riders seem to be interested in.

In addition to these new parts, the V2 brake also gets a new 4 piston caliper that they’re redesigned to be lighter, stronger, and more powerful.
