These have held up pretty well from a fair amount of abuse over the past month.
They are a medium and I’ve a fairly large hand. Initially they were pretty tight but I broke them in gently on a couple of sun sprinkled summer rides around the Surrey hills and the material stretched just enough to give the perfect fit. A second skin feel.
The upside of the glove is made from stretchy spandex and the palm is made from synthetic leather clarino.**As you can see from the photo the palm is covered with a silicone rubber print, all over. Whereas most manufacturers use the rubber sparingly Troy Lee have tried to make sure the grip is leech-like, and I assure you, it is.
These have recently seen me through a short trip to the alps and the first two rounds of the French Enduro cup. They have endured the worst of conditions and taken a few mud baths and spills in their stride. It’s usually only a couple of weeks before gloves start to split along the seam of the thumb or tip of the forefinger for me but these have stayed intact.
Verdict
Overall this is a good lightweight glove with some subtle detailing by Troy Lee standards. **A very worthy choice that will suit a wide range of riding styles and conditions and even though they are a little bit on the pricey side I think they are worth the cash. Now – time to get them in the wash and back to their sparkling best.
