Magkano natipid sa bike-commute

Ako pag punta gym hindi na nagdadala ng car. Naka-save ako 30pesos parking fee. (i go to the gym 3-4 times a week)

Tapos ang gas ko for every month 2,500. Ngayon mukhang aabot ng 45days pero sana mapaabot ko ng 2months.

Yung natipid ko sa parking fee and gas napunta sa pagkain at mas importante bagay.

Pag nahilig ka talaga sa nature marerealize mo waste of money ang mga gastusin sa kotse.

daily i would save about 120 pesos sa gas as we have free parking naman sa office but this does not include the wear and tear sa vehicle mo nor the anguish when you get caught in traffic on your rush to make it on time.

if i don't bring the car, it's about 130 pesos as i take a cab coming in and a combination of jeeps and tricycle on the return. again, it has that feeling of dread and helplessness in traffic not to mention the difficulty in getting a cab from makati in the morning that has made me shun taxi's as much as possible.

with the bike commute, travel time is precise within a couple of minutes and you feel so alive in the office making you more productive. enjoy ka pa sa commute jumping and climbing curbs and sidewalks. there's the cost of another breakfast lang at times but that's negligible.

just started bike commuting from Cavite to Ayala, Makati last Monday. in 3 days, nakatipid ako ng 500 pesos. may pang extra rice na ako pag lunch. hehe Thanks to the building Admin of RSC for letting me park my bike inside and for the use of the service elevator instead of pedalling my way up to the 5th floor parking.

I get to save almost P700.00 a month just by biking to work. Last year, I just bike to work once a week because of the color coding scheme. This year, dahil tumaas na ang fuel, I decided to make it twice a week na. I am enjoying my bike commuting instead of driving the car to work. Yes, malaki ang tipid ko especially sa oras ng travel time. I'm free from all worries kung paano ako makaka-uwi.

I live in Brgy. San Francisco, Floodway, East Bank Road in Cainta. My work is in Bonifacio Global City. When driving the car, it takes me 30-40 minutes of travel. But with my bike, 20 minutes of 'paspas' (racing with other machines on the road) pedalling to 30 minutes of relaxed pedalling.

Yung dapat na ginagastos ko para sa car, eh ipinang-kakain ko na lang. Mas-sulit yun! And I am always excited when it's my schedule to bike to work!

(￥800 parking has 5 slots only, kapag napuno ito I have no other choice than to use the ￥1000)

So; (￥140/li x 12km)/9km/li + ￥1000 = ￥1,187 (daily travel cost x 21 ave. working days)

Thus; I save ￥25000/month or about P12,500

Kung mag train naman ako:

Dalawang sakay na train: ￥240 + ￥120 = ￥360 or ￥720 round trip

that's around ￥15,000 per month din ang natitipid.


Kahit saang anggulo tignan, malaking benepisyo ang naibibigay ng pamimisikleta, sa katawan man o bulsa.

public transport, meaning jeep, at 2 trike one way is 40 pesos. so balikan 80 pesos a day.
in a week 400 pesos
in a month 1600 pesos
11months of work x 1600 = 17600.

just took up bike commuting this school year. in one year lang bawi na yung bike ko sa natipid ko sa pamasahe. at siyempre ang hindi mababayaran ay yung health benefits at environmental impact. =) sarap magbike!!!

I get to save 42 pesos everyday lang naman. But I think the most important savings is the time! I usually wake up at 6 to go to work from qc to makati. Now I wake up at 8am and still get to the office with enough time to take a bath. ( we have a shower at work )
