anyways, there are no rules in SSpeeding. the set-ups are countless but i likey the first image looks more aggressive and the image below looks pure XC with a touch of urban/street because of the low saddle height.

where's mega-trail? definitely iba ang trail, can't compare a 50KM paved road to a 50KM trail. so what i did was always ask the combo gearing of SSpeeders who does trails and base on my strength to find my gearing.

napaka ganda po ng SS ninyo ang mabigat lang for that set-up is the sus fork everything else a dream for me.

your 32 X 18 is a bit heavy for me on trails. i used 32 X 20 for it and 32 X 16 daily combo and riding to the trail head .

Thanks unclebob... mega-trail is somewhere in taytay, frequented by the haooh downhillers...

you mentioned 2 gear combos, are you using a dingle cog set-up?

yes its a sort of a dingle rear gears only. flipinidaho's (gary) version of a dingle, has two chainrings and two cogs, and when interchanged have the exact number of teeth in the combo. i cant' seem to find or remember where in the old proboards thread. it has a photographical approach that's why i easily understood it, but if it wasn't yari ako slow learner ako.

my set-up is different, i have a 32T chainring, 16 and 20 teeth cogs. 32 X 16 for road and going to the trail head, upon reaching trails i slap my 20 T cog. i bring my own tools for it , and 32 X 20 is just way too light for using on road kasi . i have to pedal all the way kasi to every trail that i know.

i still don't have a favorite combo, i had been trying all combinations i see and read of. i have the privilege of changing cogs because namumulot ako sa bikeshops ng discarded cassette cogs. heheh

before i forget i have horizontal drop/outs thats why i can do w/o the expensive tensioner.
