actually sir, i'm a little shy of 5'9" in height.. and size 17 fits me well. try to adjust your saddle (move it forward or backward) and your stem.

Tama ka dun sir. . . your upgrades should be based on your needs not on wants.

with regards to your brakes, kung pakiramdam mo eh it would fail, best upgrade for me would be the non-series hydros, brandnew cost is around 3k without rotors(night and day difference yan compared to your mech brakes).

If you want the bike to be faster rolling naman, next to go out would be, hopefully in these order, tires, tubes, rims, spokes, hubs, as they would equate to lesser rolling mass. get lighter tires which provides the least rolling resistance without compromising traction on the terrain you usually ride in.

your fork could also be a great upgrade point aside from your cranks. . . get the air-sprung ones like the epicon.

good luck po and looking forward to your next bike. . . hehehe

as for me kung alin yung masira yun muna palitan mo...with regards to your brake system if di ka talaga confident sa stock brakes mo tama palit ka shimano no series hydros. pero so far maganda naman feedback sa stock vision 1.5 built bike kaya gamitin mo muna ng gamitin

plastic ang brake levers? i'm pretty sure metal yung caliper, he he.

anyway, pwede mo palitan yan kahit paunti unti. i'm a mech user eversince, never though of upgrading to hydros. a cheaper option is...replace parts as they break, kesa palit ng palit kahit bago pa.

@RobertJamesYu salamat sir..

i think the first thing i'll upgrade would be my brakes. parang wala atang replacement pads nito. but before that, probably my seatpost. it's too short for me.

OT lang:

have you guys experienced this? when i apply my front brakes, my fork vibrates. ano kaya to?

EDIT:

problem solved. may play sa sides (left-right) yung front wheel. tightened up the skewers and it's fine.

makasingit na nga........

ser,

san po ba kayo nagra-ride? road or trails?if trails, technical ba yung trails?

with due respect to you sir.....reason why i'm asking this is because (as a lot of peeps here have suggested) sayang naman kung mag-upgrade ka agad eh okay pa naman ang parts mo, ang most practical rule of thumb kasi, from a point of view of a money-challenged biker like me is to gamitin muna ng gamitin ang parts and if at a certain point ay napapansin mong kelangan na talagang magpalit/upgrade, then that's the time to do it. more often than not kasi, you feel that it's time to upgrade when you start to do "real" mountainbiking (i.e. do trail rides) kasi dun mo na mararamdaman that some parts are not fit for trailriding and need to upgrade it to gain confidence in trailriding in relation to bike handling and safety.

enjoy your rides and goodluck sa upgrade

i suggest na gamitin mo muna ung bike so that you would feel the difference when you upgrade. a nice hydro brakeset would be nice and will make a big difference in stopping power, a sealed bearing pedal would also upgrade the bike's performance.

Salamat sir!

Pa tune mo muna yang mech breaks mo sir baka kaya pang maayos yan. As for upgrades.

Mahirap padyak.

so far wala pa naman akong pinalitan sa vision 1.5 ko. nakakasurvive pa naman sa rides. road and weekend riding at the fort trail. but i'm planning to change the pedals since for me di sya reliable. also, tama yung comment sa taas na nakakasugat.
ano bang magandang brand/model na pedal? thanks
