SGM Mountain bikes

ang tanong muna diyan sir eh..
1. bakit kailangan ko mag upgrade?
2. magkano ang handa kong bitawan na halaga sa pag uupgrade ko?

just thinking, why settle for an entry level bike kung may budget kayo sa upgrades.... you must have customized the built na lang... hindi pa sana nadoble ang gastos.... tama ga? (sorry for being sarcastic, mahal na ngayon ang piyesa ng bike)

Ako sa 2011 sgm evolution nagsimula as in bakal talaga at rim lang yung alloy. Basta nag-eenjoy ka sa bike mo padyak lang ng padyak.

to be honest sir, para sakin bad po sya for 12k knowing na maraming mas ok dyan, sayang kung dagdag lng konti budget, pero as long as na masaya ka naman ok lng un hehehe

@jabron - oo nga sir I have visited Quiapo, ang dami pala dun dagdag na lang sana ako kaunti, anyway I'm still happy with my bike; kababayad ko nga lang sir ng bill ko sa card...... hehehehe

Tama yan sir Jabron; I think mga 8k medyo ok na bike ko......Ipon ipon muna sir.... Just In case tama po ba na yung Fork ang unang upgrade ko?

ok yan bike na yan sir. mas mabigat mas maganda training na ibibgay sayo. para pag nag-upgrade ka na sa mas magaan na bike, ramdam mo na epekto ng paggamit mo ng mas mabigat na bike...

My officemate bought SGM CharleJerry ba yung frame na yun 10K yung whole bike, pinalitan lang nya yung frame ng Infinity tsaka yung tires to kenda cobra... dagdan nalang ng 1200.. Tapos ride all the way pauwi. SO far ok naman yung performance nya kahit 7 speed lang... Padyak lang ng padyak sir and let's share our passion for BIKE to others.

Those 2 were also my choices before I bought my bike last week. For me, go with vision 1.5. By the way, magkano yung vision 1.5 na nakita mo sa sulit?

2 of my buddies uses SGM bikes (yung isa charles jerry) wala naman silang problem

IMO pagdating sa looks lamang ang SGM

Why not try my new bike, its all shimano parts same like SGM's, but upgraded, like Suntour XCT fork, etc... maybe you know it already.

Its an freeway Infinity bike. A little lighter than SGM, same weight as V1.5, i knew because it is one of my choices wherein i placed them side to side and weight them alternately with both hands. The only difference is the components between SRAM and Shimano.

For anyone's who's starting into Mt. Biking, kung sakali man that you got a bike that wasn't worth the cost or if the bike didn't have good components, it's all good, it happens to any first timer going to a hobby or whatever it may be...

Sir, as long as you're happy with your bike, just as I've read into your succeeding posts, it's all good, and for the price of 12k, I am most sure that susulitan mo naman yung usage nito, until such time that you already know what you want in a bike...

Totoo ang sinasabi ng madla, wala talaga sa bike yan, nasa pumapadyak...

At the end of the day, to each is own parin...

@vashstamp3de - sir ok nman yung infinity kaso mejo confuse ako s SRAM and shimano? shimano kilala pero yung SRAM never heard cguro newbies lng po tlga ako? :-)

I also own a SGM Light Intensity Mountain Bike. I bought mine last February at 6.5k. I recently replaced the Kenda road tires with Maxxis Crossmark 2.1 trail tires and the pedals as well since i use my bike at the Nuvali Trails in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. So far the bike seems ok except for the mechanical brakes especially during downhills. I plan to replace it with hydraulic brakes. I also plan to replace the fork with epicon forks as suggested by other riders.
