Newbie lang din po mga sir!
I also have SGM Charles Jerry. Satisfied naman po ako sa performance nya. All parts are still stocks, wala pa po akong ina-upgrade. Mag-2 months ko na po syang gamit, twice a week ride po. 40kms-50kms kada ride po, combination of smooth and rough road po.

Broke my zoom fork also (second fork for this month v2 yung isa)
in short di kaya ng fork yung rizal trails.. it broke in an "uneven" way.. nag creek pumalo naglock and di na absorb yung drop which is like a feet and a half.. rolled for about 5 meters.. and then bam it gave way up.. di na ko nakapag adjust since downhill yung trail.. semplang na.. ..

Three of my bike buddies are using SGM Charles Jerry mountainbikes (one of the bikes used to be mine). Bought from Quiapo early 2010, so around 1 year na ang mga bikes. Ok naman sila for its price of P 6,500.00.
Have taken these bikes to various trails around Metro Manila several times with no problem, including Maarat, Licao Licao, Antenna in Binangonan, Fort Bonifacio and the shore lines of Laguna Lake during summer. Have also taken it to Daraitan-Laiban Dam in Tanay, Rizal. Matibay ang frame. One of the bikes survived a 50-ft. accidental fall sa bangin (di kasama ang rider) -- buo pa rin maliban sa na-otsong rim sa harap at tumabinging fork. Kung di lang ako na-infect ng upgraditis, I will still be using this SGM bike. Advice lang if you are to use this bike in trails, change the stock forks with a better one for a more comfortable and controllable ride.

I'm using 2011 SGM Charles Jerry bike. I'm using this as my commuter bike from house to office. I sometimes go to Roxas blvd for a night bike exercise. Been using it daily (total of 2-3hrs per day). Sobrang nakakatipid ako sa pamasahe nung nag start akong mag bike around 2 weeks ago. I can also go to different places while exercising.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...MShimano01.jpg So far here are my observations: Pedal: So far ang napansin ko lang is panget yung pedal nya. I already replaced mine with MOB pedal worth 380 php. Shifter: Medyo ndi ok alignment ng rear shifter nung akin. Crank: Ok naman siya for city use as daily commuter. Fork: Stiff siya, I'm planning to upgrade this soon. Pero for now, tyaga tyaga muna since commuter bike lang naman sya. Frame: Good design. Tires: Not bad, tires are fast but it seems like mabilis siyang mabutas as what mentioned by other people. Maybe because I'm still new to this hobby. Pero right now sanay na pwet ko hehe. But still I'm planning to upgrade this soon to a more comfortable seat for a longer joy ride. My conclusion: For a total price of 6.8k wala na ako reklamo since mura naman ang price nito and satisfied naman ako sa usage ko sa kanya. For city commute and exercise ok naman sya. For joy ride ok rin siya. Been using this for a night biking joy ride with a friend for around 15km and ok naman siya. Minsan solo night riding ako from binondo to roxas blvd baywalk para mag ikot ikot lang sa tabi ng dagat. In terms of design, hands down ako sa kanya.

Bought my built SGM charles jerry edition last week sa quiapo. Ok naman xa para sa akin. Ginagamit ko xa pang exercise sa UP.
Most parts are non series shimano Overall the bike is good and cool for its price. I can say that the SGM bikes are good entry level bikes but definitely I need to upgrade if gusto ko mag trails.
