Default Orange Bikes 2011 Mountain Bikes Five Models

RSSFeed from

Orange Bikes introduces 2011 Five models that promises to be low slung, quick and flexible to cater to your demands. The four models are the Five All-Mountain, the Five Pro, The Five S and the Five SE or Special Equipment tag which will be available on October 2010.

Orange Bikes uses a monocoque construction mixed with custom butted 6061-T6 Reynolds tubes. Because of this, you get a tapered headtube that is both light and stiff. For dropper seat posts, there’s a 30.9 mm seat-tubes and ISCG mounts to fit a chain device if need. The suspension is kept well balanced by the single pivot position working with the bearing system.

For mountain trails that you can consider close to those like the Alps, the Five AM package is the one you should have. It was designed to be a cross-breed of the Alpine 160 and the Five so you can make those epic climbs securely and without fail. It has a Fox 36 and Maxle rear which you can also customize to include a Cane Creek coil shock and chain device. Retail price is £2,889.99

The Five Pro is best for veteran riders who wants the best possible mountain bike. It comes with Hope hubs and Hope Tech X2 brakes. It also features a Fox Float RL which is tapered and with QR15. For smooth riding and ease in shifting, it has the Shimano Dyna-Sys, 10-speed SLX and XT. Retail price is £2,799.99.

For an entry bike the Five S has the RockShox Sektor fork and a tapered steerer. It also has a Fox RP23 for rear shock and a 9-speed Shimano groupset. Avic Elixir brakes provide you with precision stopovers. Shimano hubs, Mavic rims and SDG saddle together with the Orange finishing kit gives you one polished ride. Retail price is £2,199.99.

The last model which is the Five SE will be available in October 2010. It seems a promising bike, anticipated to have Shimano’s XTR 10-speed groupset.
