@ masquerade16
san ka sa south? try searching for dragunov posts i know he sells gt ava at lower than lbs prices, he can also have it delivered. ok din ang mga feedback sa kanya. @jvyango nice choice good entry level bikes, tried all three of them, in terms of frame geometry mas ok ang spez hardrock, but my current hardtail is the x3, mas comfortable for my built, alanganin kc skin ung sizes ng spez, i think its also lighter @ 31lbs,dont be in a rush, test ride all of them to check kung san ka tlga comfy, dont just base on looks, and dont forget all the safety gears.

with that budget, i would highly suggest a secondhand and a completely built bike. you can upgrade when you get the cash

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie in biking and I'm about to buy my first MTB. I play basketball and I just want to try biking to increase my stamina and shave these unwanted fats in my body. Although I will be using the bike mostly on roads, I don't want to buy a road bike. I think MTB is more of a SWAGGER.
Ok. Too much for the introduction. I already read some posts about having a first MTB. Alot of people say that it's all about the bike frame. "Start buying a built bike with a quality frame" they said. So I researched about this, I in fact went to Cycle Art in Quiapo and asked the saleslady for their cheapest built bike. She showed me an INFINITY ITALIA worth P10,500. But I don't think it's a good frame (I browsed the internet and found no official website for INFINITY) Then I found out MERIDA, GIANT, JAMIS, and TREK. And now I'm stuck on choosing between them. Please help me choose what to buy. Here are my choices: 2012 Merida Matts 40-MD 2012 Giant Revel 0 2012 Jamis Trail X3 2012 TREK 3900 Disc All of these are built bikes. By the way, budget is around P20,000 but it can go for as high as P25,000 if the difference of the bike is significant. (Because Revel 0 is I think around 25k) Thanks in advance!

almost everyone who's ridden one of these bikes will say it rides well, almost all MTB mags will have good reviews of these bikes (or most bikes for that matter). I really think there's not a lot of diff between bikes/parts within the same price range.
so i say, just get the one that looks nice ![]()

20k, that's a decent budget to start, ako i started with a built bike then in time, i upgraded the parts, personally i would suggest built bike, just for you to know your riding preference.. then you'd know what to upgrade..
Just my 2 cents cheers
