Which bike frame?

Noted chief! hehehe yung budget ko kase is 20-25k, so the 004 was a perfect match... I wasn't thinking of building from scratch since wala pa nga akong smallest idea on how to go around a bike, be it right parts or etc.. i just want to know if I'm getting the most bang for my buck with the xc-004.

Bro, got a friend who went for xc-104. Upgraded the rear shocks to Fox and had a very good setup. He just needed to ask a friend to fabricate bushings. KHS with Fox is indeed, a very good setup.

Before upgrading, enjoy the built bike muna. Next time na upgrade. Once you have really used your bike, you will definitely know what you need to upgrade.

Ayun swak nga sa budget! Actually, the 25k XC-004 is a BIG loud bang for your buck. You can't build such bike for 25k if you were to start from scratch. Kaya sulit na talaga! Go and get it na! Remember to get the right size for your height. Then let's ride para mai-Sabak (pun intended) na yan sa trail!

sir the specs of the 604 at sabak aside from what sir tigs already mentioned is that. it has haydes hydo breaks, LX cranks, Lx Rear deurailers, Lx front din ata not sure about that, sun ringle lite rims, simano hubs, shimano clipless peddals, yun lang ma remember ko

Ngyek, ano ba talaga kuya? Well, if you were going to build from scratch, 20k budget doesn't include the frame. So, you will need to have a budget of around 36k to build a similarly spec'd bike as the KHS XC-004. Mas mahal kasi pag tingi-tingi. Built bikes are cheaper because the big brands can get the parts by bulk, that's why they can price their built bikes competitively.

Sample 20k bike build kit:
XCR 120mm fork with lock-out
Shimano Deore groupset, 08 drivetrain, mech disc brakes
Ritchey handlebar, stem and headset
WTB saddle, generic seatpost
Alex DP20 rims, black stainless spokes and nips
Toxic 1.95 tires and tubes
generic grips
generic pedals

Full-sus frame:

You might be interested in other brands. I was at Cartimar (Paulina's) last week I saw a built bikes like HARO R1 and Mongoose ( dont know the model ) that are below 25 K.

For me these are good entry level FS bikes.

Just wanted you to have an options.

Haro is also a very good brand, IMHO. Mongoose entry-level bikes don't get too many good reviews though..

Ok seriously, yung sa likod ng frame leftside, merong nakausli na parte at meron siyang 2 butas.
Wala ka bang nakikita na bike na merong disck brakes? pansinin mo yung disc brake sa likod at imagine mo na lang na wala yun tapus tignan mo yung frame na gusto mo kung meron nun. hehehehe!

pag may nakasulat na "DISC" sa pangalan ng frame, like mine is a Giant Iguana Disc frame.

ay tsaka disc-specific sya ha, not just disc-ready. di mo sya pwedeng kabitan ng V-brakes kasi wala syang V-brake bosses.
