Panaracer Cinder 2.1...

Very good sa trail (Camp Agui and Fort Boni), no slippage...

But heavy sa road, but it's ok, good for improving pedal power...

At 500 each...mura din :)

Next tires on my list: Maxxis Crossmark

Maxxis Crossmark 2.1 (folding) both wheels.

P1800 pair

Puede pang trail at pang road.

Masarap ipadyak kahit na sa road. Maganda din kapit.

Saved me from potential injury many times kasi di nag slip in some scary situations.

Trail tires:

2 x Kenda Nevegal 2.1 DTC - P700/each (good find for me!)

Road/hardpack tires:

2 x Kenda Small Block 8 1.95 DTC - p1.4k/each

Sometimes I also match a Nevegal on front with an SB8 at the back.

Default Re: Tire Survey

on my xc/trail fs:
kenda karma l3r pro stick-e 2.0 front and rear - light weight, fast rolling for a full knob design.

on my xc ht:
maxxis flyweight 1.95 front and rear - very light weight, very fast rolling on smooth hardpacked trails.

on my trail ht:
kenda nevegal dtc 2.1 front and rear - very grippy on a wide variety of soil conditions from loose over hardpack to loose to rocky, very good all conditions tire. rolling resistance is quite high but acceptable for such a versatile tire.

extra tires:
pair of kenda sb8 2.1 dtc - sometimes used on my trail ht. more speed on hardpacked trails.
pair of continental explorer wirebead 2.1 - all conditions and mud tire.
pair of continental town and country 1.9 - road and commute tires.

Default Re: Tire Survey

Right now on my Trek 8500 Hardtail

Front: Bontrager Jones XR tubeless ready 2.25 - around 1800 - Big, floaty tire, decent weight for a tubeless ready tire (545grams), fast enough and adequate for most condtitions
Rear: Bontrager XR1 Team Issue 2.0 - around 2000 - Fast tire with decent grip (kinda like a Kenda SB8), predictable cornering, quiet, the red logo looks great on my bike.

On Standby depending on riding conditions and mood. he he he
Kenda SB8 1.95 1,400
Bontrager XR1 Team Issue 2.0
Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.25 1,800 - Fast, Grippy, Knobby, Japorms, Great for wet and loose conditions
Schwalbe Smart Sam 2.1 - 1,800 - Mean rear tire, decent weight and speed and badass side knobs,
Continental Race Kings (2) - 2.0 wire bead 1,700 for the pair - Cheap but heavy, great floatation, smooth - I have Protection and Supersonic versions on order - I love the tires but I want the lighter versions. They will be excellent on dry condtions and hardpack, and padyakalltheway rides.

The Bontragers are my default combo right now and I'm happy with them. I have a Racing Ralph on order.
