I live in Cainta (Ondoy Territory) and work in Makati.
Considering that rainy season is back again, I've thought of a way to save the cars, if not the house. At the first storm, I will be parking both cars at higher ground but I need quick way to get back home to get the 2nd car, after parking the 1st car. At first, I planned to use my fullsize MTB and trunk mounted bike rack. Too tedious, I thought. I decided that a folding bike would do the trick, just mount it in the car trunk, pedal home, pick up the 2nd car then bike home again to wait out the storm (and flood). Can anyone point me to a shop that sells these tiklops at a fair price, considering my very simple need? I could use the folding bike and commute via LRT & MRT, but considering the lack of respect for human decency at each MRT station, this might not be a good idea.

Giant is a little cheaper than the Dahon. Got the Giant, imo, feel they are generally the same bike with diff brands. Satisfied with the Giant, thought of buying a second one, but O/S na, all sold out.
Giant and Dahon, both give discount for cash.

just bought a foldable bike yesterday.. i was originally looking for a dahon fb but to no avail, can't find any.. all the agents(barker) that i've talked to said that the brand is hard to find nowadays masyado daw sumikat ang dahon., di pa napaparating ang container e may nagbabayad na o may order na kaya pag dating e sold out na. I was able to buy a cheap one. the sticker says "B-STRAIT". Its a japan surplus. lahat ng nakadisplay ngayun dun e puro ganyan na lang. siguro chambahan na lang talaga. I'll post pics of my find ASAP. BTW i got it for only PHP1,900.00, though some parts like the wheelsets and the chain needs to be replaced.

Tapos PM me. Let us meet at some LRT1 or 2 substations lining the city. Sakay tayo sa LRT. Baba tayo sa C.M. Recto. Bike tayo towards Binondo to eat Chinese food. When busog na, digest natin Chinese food we ate by biking more around the city. Tapos ... split na tayo. Tiklopers here in PMTB are rare and so far in between. Suwerte na kung may maka-ride ako ng one or two foldicts once a month. More of a tikloper once per 3 months. ![]()

Madali bitbitin ang folding bike. Mine weighs 28.5 lbs. Medyo mabigat kasi low end Dahon. Yung mga high end Dahon weighs lighter at 22-24 lbs. Lighter weight matters because marami kasing bitbitan up and down flight of stairs of LRT. Dahon takes 15 seconds to fold. Other brands take from 5 to 30 seconds para i-tiklop.
