@ wildthing
thanks for the suggestion, on dahon high end model i noticed that they are using sram x7 or x9 rd, that's why i will be using also a shimano mtb counterpart, i'm seeing also a good deal on deore xt parts instead of using my old ultegra. i need to check my rear hub if this will accomodate 10speed sprocket. for the fd, no need for me to install

Hello guys,
I am currently looking into three folding bikes for my wife namely: Giant FD 280/218??? - 12K I can't find a picture but one of the LBS in Cartimar quoted me this price. Dahon Eco C6 - 14K ![]() Peerless Junya - 13K ![]() Peerless Crescent - 7K ![]() As all of the four bikes are of the same 13K price range (except for Crescent~7K) I would like to hear other's opinion as well. Not sure also about on what other's might chime in on the other possible PROs and CONs. Thanks!

i got my dad a dahon eco c6. and i'm telling you it's heavy, around 31 or 32 lbs.
okay ang gearing, even on the smallest cog, hindi hirap. but if you plan on carrying this around while folded (like riding the LRT)....your wife might need help. but if you'll transport this on your car then bike somewhere, i suppose okey lang. pero kung village purposes....err...in my case, my wife has tried both the folding and a bmx...she likes the bmx better both in handling and geometry. no fidgeting on gears, she's not riding far nor will she bring the bike somewhere so walang sense kung folding. back on topic: if you'll be transporting/lugging the bike around...get the lightest one regardless of the price. if she knows how to shift gears, tanong mo na rin if she prefers twist or triggers.

my son has peerless crescent, ok naman if you dont mind the weight. steel kasi sya. now between junya and c6...junya because of the components, i'd take c6 if im after the branding. ok rin yung giant but its junya pa rin.

@jarod,
between junya and the eco c6, i think same lang sila ng components installed, plus for the c6 fender & rear rack already installed, for the junya telescopic and adjustable stem plus the aluminum seatpost

Best to retain the 52 para sa akin. If 60 mas efficient sa Road bike setup na. Mahirap mag epic ride via folding pero depende rin. Im planning Ilocos but mixed bus and bike. Provided payagan ri ni Misis. For now baka Pampanga muna. then bus pauwi hehe. Rocky saan na ride natin...
