Sir yung Mosso Fork sa may FitPro (Cartimar) last March nung nag-inquire ako is P 1,600.00. Weight is +/- 750 grams.

http://www.mossobike.com/products/fork/FK26MD5.php

Yung Saso Fork sa may Quiapo I think it's around P 3,000.00.

your choice if you're going Alu or Carbon.
a satisfied SaSo alum fork user for a year now...smooth sa ahon...yung Mosso fork is lighter, however meron siang binabagayang frame...unlike si SaSo,,,parang suspension fork ang diameter ng tubing...

btw mod anthrax, what is suspension corrected? its very "scientific" to my ears,,,hehehe...

@eric47alianza,

now, take a look at frames designed with suspension forks. dahil sa travel ng fork, the frame is designed to accomodate the 80 to 120mm travel fork. kapag hindi suspension corrected yung fork, yuyuko yung front end. so...you use suspension corrected forks para sa frames designed for suspension forks for the following reasons

1) keep the headtube angle optimum
2) keep your bb height correct. if you're not using suspension corrected forks, your bb height will be lower

I'm using a Giant ATX7 19" frame with epicon fork travel 120mm

Mosso...yung sa erpat ko disc only yung fork niya. just make sure it's suspension corrected.

Just got a mosso rigid fork from GC cyclist. My frist rigid fork in 8 years? haha, but then I used to ride BMX bikes. I really love this fork, from the weight, price, down to the looks and decals. Very affordable @ 1650(may tawad na yan. hehe). Mine has both V-brake and disc brake mounts. Although I still had to buy adaptors for my shimano non-series hydro brake calipers

sir anthax76,
here's my marin nail trail with mosso rigid fork.

A: I have no idea, he he. you might want to consult Marin's website about the measurements.

A: wala naman masyado, except maybe..mas mapupunta sa harap yung weight mo. which might make climbing a little easier but descending will be scary.

on climbing, medyo gumaan nga sya.
my weight is slightly forward nga, mas mababa din kasi ang handle bar ko sa saddle.
on downhill, pansin ko twitchy nga. cguro kasi maiksi yung handle bar(580mm).
kaso na break ko nman yung record ko during descent sa sungay(tagaytay) @ 66kms. would have been a lot faster cguro kung naka suspension ako..hehe
thanks for sharing your knowledge sir! =)

Default Rigid Fork for XC bike ?

Thanks in advance, ride safe !

Good luck and enjoy!

Go for it! Go rigid pang commute naman eh. Infact, ang next project bike ko for commuting din, from Comembo to Tikling ang magiging ruto ko (2013 pa naman). I'm leaning on Mosso rigid fork, MOB frame, at yung mga piyesa na pinagpalitan ko. Tapos, slick tires 1.75, a Panaracer RibMo will do. I'll call it the Hybrid project.

Si sir Jong of CMTB uses his mosso fork sa trails. Mukhang wala naman syang problema so far. Laro laro rin lang sa tire pressure to make it more comfortable and bearable sa rough terrain. Had one before as well, kung sa commuting and pure road rides perfect fork ito for me :)
