Are you refering to Suntour Duro? there are three types of Duro, the Duro DJ-D, Duro DJ-E and Duro FR20, the Duro DJ D and E the price range is 4500 - 6k while the FR20 ranging from 7.5 - 9k ( http://www.srsuntour-cycling.com/SID=si833b1037649e2182e7abfe725f9c8b/index.php?screen=sh.product_series&tnid=1582), (Hey guys please correct me if the amount is incorrect) for the rim, maraming rim and tire na pwede sa vision pursuit depending on your riding style and budget, you can consider the alexrims, WTB, Sunrims, Syncros etc. for the tire you can consider Kenda, Maxxis, WTB etc.

I think the frame is intended for downhill, palitan mo lng ung fork mo for longer travel. the Suntour Raidon is for XC/All Mountain.

Hello fellow PMTB forumers!

Just want to ask for your opinion, guys. I'm a newbie when it comes to MTB's and I plan on having one hopefully early next year. I don't have any ideas yet on the specs/parts that I can fit on a 15k budget, but what I want is a decent hardtail that can be used both on the streets and uphill climbs. A GT Avalanche or Chucker seems to be a good frame for a starter bike. A friend advised me to check on the VIsion Pursuit as well. I'm not sure about the budget though. Do you think I need to shell out more for any of those 3 frames? A little help on the set up for any of those 3 frames would be deeply appreciated.

Can you guys suggest the best store where I can have the bike assembled? I've been hearing a lot about bikekings in quiapo. Where is it exactly in quiapo? Thanks in advance!

hi! am also a newbie in mtb. had my 1st mt. bike sometime end of october this year and to date.

its nice if you can assemble your rig so you can choose your specs / parts. but with 15,000 i guess is not enough for a brand new rig. sample prices based on lbs cartimar and quiapo:

vision - 4000 (cartimar)

chucker - 3200 (cartimar)

avalanche - old 2600 (quiapo)
new 3300 (quiapo)

xcr suntour (w/ louckout) - 2800 (quiapo)

alivio set (disc mechanical) - 7200 (cartimar)

wheel set - ?
seat post - ?
handle bar - ?
helmet - ?
etc.... - ?

so from the above prices, frame+fork+group set = 12,600 already. that is, if you'll get all brand new and a group set. BUT, if you can extend more your budget, GO! BUT, if you have a limited budget and need to squeeze in your helmet too, go for built bikes which what i did.

Can I buy a built bike with any of the 3 above-mentioned frames, Particularly the GT Avalanche? How much does a built bike cost and what shops would you recommend?

last time i visited cartimar meron sa paulinas gt avalanche and chucker built bike... im not sure now. medyo matagal na rin yun e...

if you're going to build a bike go for gt avalanche or vision frame kung gusto mo masmadali sa mga climbs.

been to KINGS yesterday, paquote ako ng bike for my gf

chucker-altus/acera groupset - disc brake (no fork) 13k
chucker-altus/acera groupset - non series hydroliks discbrake P15,600 (no fork)

onti lang difference ng altus-acera (400 ata or 500)
mas mura siguro kung V-brakes, depends on riding preference.

***fork, daming goodfork, pasok na sa budget mo... P13k plus 2k
siguro XCR pasok na un!
