Some updates on the bike...

Old school Velo saddle...a bit heavy but, damn! this is the best seat i have ever put my butt on...Spring cushioned, Thick paddings, Wider profile, perfect for touring!..

Reversed the handlebars for a more aerodynamic position... but the result gives the bike another advantage ---> compensates the old school look ...

All white Brake and Shifter cable housing...

I honestly have no idea what the bikes weight right now, and frankly speaking i actually don't care... he he... because the truth is you really can't mix an "old school" and a "weight weeenie"... you must only choose one... Old school parts are heavy, Weight weenie parts are modern...

The rims are alex rims "xd lite"... discbrake specific.... I think the "xc lite" version is the v brake compatible rims...

Thanks sir... that's definitely on the list... ang problema lang, ang hirap maghanap ng road version ng bb7, puro mountain version ang available... right now i'm using shimano non series mechs, baka magkaron ng problema sa cable pull ng sti kaya tinotono ko muna ng maigi... yung tipong 1/4 or 25% pa lang ng pull sa brake levers kagat agad..

Btw, i saw your monstercross bike on mtbr.com...absolute inspiration... makes me proud to be a pinoy...

Nice thread po eto Sir, ask lang po ako if yung ganitong setup po ba ay pwede lagyan ng brake set na parehas ng road bike? 26 din po kasi frame ko pero malabo po malagyan ng disk brake. TIA.

it depends sir sa frame mo.. kung merong mounting hole for roadie brake calipers and your frame has enough clearance for 700c wheels..

just let me clear that my frame is not a 26r specific... it is built as a hybrid commuter that can accept 700c wheelsets..

on this build, i used discbrakes because the primary goal is to build a monster/cyclocross type of bike... kung gagamit ako ng road brake calipers siguradong sasayad sa calipers ang wider tire with knobs ng cx tires...
