@carnage08: I just bought the EL135 + Omni3 combo today from a fellow PMTBer and from the short time I've been with it, the only feedback I can give is that they both do not seem to be water resistant in any way. I did not actually test the items in water, of course, pero just by looking at the battery doors/covers, you'll know agad agad that they're not for all-weather usage.

Actually, sa ngayon, ok naman sakin yung light, waterproofing concerns aside. I did stumble upon a page that makes me more confident that the light will be fine in light rain.

If you backread through the thread, I'm sure you'll see a lot of suggestions from other PMTBers.

used several rechargables and flashlight-looking ones that are very bright...
unfortunately they don't last that very long.

looking for an extremely long-duration light since Audax endurance rides can
sometimes take two days, and sometimes the lights need to be on for almost
12 hour stretches from 6pm-6am. so far only the cateyes fill the bill, the 80
hour rating with good batteries aren't exaggerated. though yeah
they're not as bright. anyone knows long duration lights that are a bit brighter
than the cateye ELs?

Been using Knogg Blinders for over a year. Very satisfied naman ako. On a side note, the rubber locking mechanism of the Knogg Blinder I bought snapped after around 3months. Contacted them directly and was given a replacement within a week, no questions asked. According to their rep, the old batches have been found to be deffective (same issue as mine) and it has been corrected since. True enough, havent had any problems since. Oh, by the way, when I claimed the warranty, they never asked me to return the deffective product, just pics of the deffect (showing what part snapped). Kaya eto, may spare ako. With a little McGyverization, magagamit ko pa ito. Hehe

cateye volt300 user for the past year now.... matagal lang i-charge (~4hrs), but once fully charged, it can get me thru ~10hrs of continous riding (also used it on several multi-day ride, no charging, 3-4hrs /day usage).... just recently, on the audax600 event, 1st day usage was from 3am-5am, then turned on again by 6pm, lasted me thru till around 5am teh following day (with about 2hrs total break inbetween), with spare juice to spare, probably atleast 2hrs more... i have it alternating between normal and hyperconstant mode... can be easily charged thru a powerbank as well.. a bit pricey (1.7k), pero super sulit IMO
