Hi all, what are our options for building a new (disc) wheelset? Can't seem to find any locally.

any 29er rims can be used (and mtb hubs to boot), just be wary on the inner rim width.. 19-21mm width should be good enough to be used for tires 28-41c

If you're looking for disc brake road bike wheelsets, they're still in their infancy. Quite a few manufacturers have made them (Shimano, Mavic, Zipp, Ritchey, Stan's, among others) but no one seems to be bringing them in locally yet.

The good news is that most disc brake road bikes were made primarily with MTB hub and wheel spacing in mind (F 100mm, R 135mm), so you can use those.

My own CX bike has a stock wheelset more popularly used in Giant's XC bikes - their S-X2. It has 19mm internal rim width, and it came with 35mm knobby mud tires as stock. Wheelsets with even wider internal rim widths (21-23mm) have since come out for disc brake road bikes.

i ordered a CX frame with a BSA bottom bracket, is there a way for me to convert a BSA BB to a BB30, in order for me to use a FSA 46/36T crank? (which i know is only BB30 compatible?).

OR is there a locally available shimano 46/36t crank or teethring that i can source out here in Manila?

Thank you Sirs!
