That happened to me before. What I did was remove the pedals, apply grease on the pedal threads, then reinstall them. Ayun, wala ng tik-tik sound. :)

pedals yan, kakapalit ko lang, "tik-tik" free na, kung ball bearing applyan lang ng grease or magpalit ka ng sealed bearing pedals, exustar pc960 is a good one

consistent or inconsistent with pedal stroke?

if its inconsistent, check other moving parts such as seatpost, seatpost clamp, even the seat railings - this happened for my case. just cleaned up the mating surfaces and added little light oil, job done

speaking of seat, tik tik sound may also mean a sign of saddle about to give.

Loose spokes pala. Pina true ko both wheels ayun okay na. Di pala rotors.

Happened to me recently.

Do you guys have any go-to place/person for repairs and maintenance of bikes in BF Homes, Alabang area? I just bought a used secondhand bike to try the sport out. Every time I pedal hard either with my left or right leg there's a big tik sound. Really don't want to tinker with my bike first cause I am not too familiar with the mechanisms yet and I'm not sure if I have the necessary tools to remove the parts. Salamat mga sirs!

Default Ticking Sound

Greetings fellow bikers, I am seeking help in identifying a ticking sound when pedaling.

Not sure if it's from the chain, the cassette, bb or rear hub. This faint ticking sound only happens when I ride my bike and not while I have the bike on a work stand.

I usually hear it about the time the right pedal reaches the bottom of a rotation. It's annoying though faint, like you know there is problem somewhere but can't really pin point where it is.

I am in a location where there is no bike shops to get help from so I get my hands dirty with my bike.

Hope to get some advise from helpful souls out there.

TIA

Pedaling na my presure or my bigat? Maluwag na bb or botom bracket lang siguro yan. Hihigpitan lang. (I hope) para d magastos. Ganyan din ako before eh. Sakit pakinggan.

Same situation din before. may lumalagutok at certain point during pedaling only on middle ring. granny and big ring, no audible "tok" sound. Replaced new BB - failed, Dismantle and assemble the chainrings - failed, replaced another pedal - failed.

The culprit: one tooth from the big ring touches the fd which causes the "tok" sound.

Solution: shaved off a little part of the FD where it contacts the tooth.

Problem solved.

I loosen up the crank bolts and tighten again, also did the same with the pedals. Creak seems gone will see if it comes back after a few more rides.

Question Re: unusual sound while pedaling (tiktik / toktok / noise / etc.)

Hey all. Newbie here, few months pa lang nagba-bike. Same problem.

Salamat.
