Sir/s question I'm currently using 3x10 setup (Deore) and i want to get rid of the big ring and replace it with a BG. pano yung shifting nun going to big ring kung wala na for e.g i accidentally triggered the shifter going to big ring?? what i want is a 2x10 using a 3x10 components is it possible? what should i do?? BG lang ba bibilhin ko?? thanks!

Im still using old shifting ratio even though my big ring doesnt exist anymore. If i shift it it would probably just skid to the bashguard. But heres the thing though i never used my biggest ring ever and my 2nd ring i barely used it to so theres no chance of me accidentally shifting. It all boils down to wether you still need the big ring or not at all. Like my group we dont have the big ring no more. Minsan kasi mas delikado pa to lalo pag tumama sa logs and boulders. So just make up your mind i dont see any problem with the ratio just buy the BG

Adjust the limiting screw. This limits the shifting to the big ring. But, I already forgot how to adjust it. YouTube is your friend here.

Good!

My 29er is 2 x 9; and my 26er has been converted from 1 x 8 to SS. Both have Shimano bashguard.

Pwede ba yung 2x10 na may bashguard and chainguide para hindi kumawala sa kabilang side yung chain when shifting to the smallest gear? nangyare na sa akin kc kumawala while pedaling then naipit between crank and frame, result - left a gash sa frame..

@ mobee - 3x10 set up with bashguard? Uy!

But in case of a dual crank ring specific malabo yata.
Try to adjust the limiting screw of your FD , baka yun lang ang problem.

wow! gaganda ng mga chainguard nyomga sir.
Balak ko ding mag 1x9 setup. I will get an SLX dual ring crank, tatanggalin ko nalang yung granny. I will retain the bashguard.
May nakita akong Amoeba Chainguide sa Quiapo. mura lang to eh. ayus kaya to? effective and durable naman?

Ang mamahal kasi ng truvative and dabomb. :)
Thanks sir.

Meron akong LX cranks na converted to 2x9 setup. 22t, 36t at Shimano bash guard.
