nope...

1 AA produces 1.5 volts
1 AAA also produces 1.5 volts

LEDTEC requires (3)x1.5V = 4.5V

18650 battery will work...if makahanap ka ng paraan kung mano ieextend yung body nya to accommodate the longer battery.

Thank you for the reply. Been looking for a cheap but bright flashlight like the ledtec, pero AA sana kasi may eneloop ako na di ginagamit. Any suggestions? Thanks

Tingin ko sobrang liwanag niya as a helmet mounted blinker.

I used to have headlight mounted on my helmet before. I bought the LEDTEC headlight around P269.00 lang yata yun sa Ace Hardware. Rechargeable naman siya. But after using it for 6 months, gradually nag-dim na yung throw niya kahit kaka-full charge mo pa lang. But the first 2 months, ang liwanag nun. But it was out-performed by the LEDTEC flashlights na may free bike mount.

But right now, wala nakong headlight na naka-kabit sa helmet. Hehehe! :)

cree leds do die out and faster than their older counterparts?

is this the effect of the increased brightness they deliver? Kasi LEDS should last better than normal bulbs diba.

@ alrecorba12, ang intent ko lang talaga ay gawin siyang helmet mounted blinker for biking at para meron din akong hands free flashlight for emergency use. Sinubukan ko siya kanina noong pauwi ako, feel ko sobrang liwanag niya for a blinker pero alanganin namang gamitin na headlight for night ride sa trails, as a secondary pwede siguro.

@ blackhand
I agree sir na maliwanag nga yung nabili nyong headlight ng LEDTEC as a blinker. For me, defeated nga naman yung purpose ng brightness niya kung blinker na lang ang gagawin natin. Though I'm planning one also as a replacement dun sa napundi kong headlight.

Siguro, I'll just use/turn it ON, on very dark roads like Highway 2000 sa Taytay, Rizal. Wala pa yung LEDTEC flashlights ko during that time.

@ dudpare01
Hmmm...talaga, sir? Thanks sir.

+1 on the Ledtec torches (bike mounted). I've used a couple of lights from before the round rechargeable head lights from Quiapo. They were bright alright, but after a few months, the batteries tend to die down.

I tried the ledtec around the village the other night, and they were bright! Can't wait to use it farther this time. Though I think I need to get a spare set of batteries meantime. That is, while I source those rechargeable AAAs.

Thanks Alrecorba12. :)
