Default Mountain Bike for a Beginner

Hello guys! Im beginner wan. I would like to start biking and i would like to ask some advice on a starter bike for 10k-12K.

with 10k - 12k, the first bike that comes to mind is vision 1.5.

may suggestions na for a bike...yung shop na lang. try mo yung JBL, meron diyan sa may mcarthur highway, pero malapit sa monumento.

pwedeng pagkabili mo nung bike, sakyan mo agad para ma-adjust yung mga kailangan i-adjust.

You can also scout the three bike shops dyan sa Malanday sir, along McArthur din. Yung isa kahilera ng Mercury, the tother two, kabilang side ng road.

Ride within the design limits ng bike.

Segunda mano is always an option.

you could never go wrong with a vision 1.5. (i still has one) sizing wise, i'm 5'8" at sakto yung size 17. fit mo muna before anything else.

as for the components, laspagin mo muna. pag sira/laspag na, that's the time you upgrade. atleast by that time, alam mo na yung gusto mong bilin para sa bike mo.

yeah go for cannondale. magaan and ok na ang components ng entry level cannondale. i think pasok na yung cannondale trail 6 sa budget mo. yun lang ipon ka pa ng onti para sa helmet, spare tube, gloves, pump, etc.

regarding s bike shops, sa experience ko kasi tinamand ako pumuntang quiapo kasi mas malapit yung cartimar sa bahay namin. pero nung nakapunta na ko sa quiapo narealize ko yung mga namiss out ko nung nagstart pa lang ako. andaming choices and di hamak na mas mura talaga ang prices ng bike and bike accessories. pero mas maganda rin na may kasama ka bumili na knowledgeable na sa bikes. marami rin kasing fake parts sa quiapo. so if i were you, tyagain mo na ang byahe going to quiapo para may variety of choices ka.

happy hunting!!

@gsrich, you can go as low as 2500 yata or 3000. pero after 2 weeks may papalitan ka nang pyesa. at dahil lumang dimensions pa ang gamit...mahirap maghanap ng pyesa. not to mention minsan mahirap itono or may masisira agad.

12K will set you nicely with an entry level trail worthy bike. baka may sukli ka pang konti, but don't forget to get him a helmet. both bike and helmet must be a good fit, otherwise...sakit ng katawan lang ang mapapala nya.
