Two Resurrections

The first resurrection (the bike only haha!)

Back in 1992, Gary Fisher Sphinx? Sold it to my cousin 12 years later after a few upgrades


2012: Ages later, I bought back the old cro. Left unused in the backyard, I felt sorry for the old chap. Here's the frame many years later, now red and Specialized. Still in top condition, no dents whatsoever.


The second resurrection

Quite obvious? Its from 1991 or 1992, when GT still manufactured triple triangles in CROMOLY. Light as a granola bar. Not the common aluminum frames you find everywhere. Off to a full restoration in the meantime.


The body parts

NOS and not NOS. Back from the days when parts SIMPLY WORKED and were crafted from actual metal, not encrusted in plastics and fancy decal jobs and it's usually black.







And the rest is still out there.

A new find. With a few scuffs from storage handling, but definitely NOS. Hoping for an M900 but this one is rare alright.

Wheelset for the Gary Turner

Suntour XC Pro hubs/7-speed cassette and QR set
Campagnolo Omega Strada Hardox 1.5" semi-deep V rims
IRC Mythos dark amber wall tires

Campagnolo came up with a MTB gruppo in 1989 (Campagnolo Centaur).
The Omega Strada also came in clincher variants for road.

1" standard ahead. Not sure kung meron 1.25"? Try mo rin sa QUiapo. Yung mga rare usually sa ebay meron pa.

Thanks sir Alphabolt! As much as possible period correct hinahanap ko. Minsan sinuswerte. Madalas kulang yung bits, like now nawawala yung isang barrel adjuster sa XT STI. Magastos pero masarap na hobby hehe.
